There comes a point every fall when the table starts to feel like the center of the house again. Dinner moves inside, friends come over, Thanksgiving plans begin—and before we know it, we’re setting the table for Christmas.
Which means it’s time for one of our favorite Welcome Home traditions: the Garnier-Thiebaut Fall & Holiday Trunk Show.
Founded in France in 1833, Garnier-Thiebaut makes some of our favorite table linens: beautiful woven jacquards, rich color and wonderful patterns that are meant to be used, not saved for some imaginary occasion when nobody spills anything.
Beautiful things should be used. Especially tablecloths.
A Look at Fall & Holiday 2026
This year’s Garnier-Thiebaut collection feels particularly at home at Welcome Home. Think branches, berries, trailing leaves and woodland patterns in deep greens, cranberry, rust and warm autumn shades, followed by festive botanicals and holiday color.
There are linens for the Thanksgiving table, Christmas dinner and plenty that happily live somewhere in between.
And that’s how we like to set a table. Start with a cloth you love. Add the dishes you already own. Mix in some napkins, cut a few branches from outside, light the candles and invite people over.
